What is a HA dermal filler?

Dermal fillers are used to smooth lines and replace volume. At advanced Cosmetic Solutions we use Juvederm Ultra, Voluma, Restylane and Perlane which are produced by Allergan and Qmed. These are the best and safest products on the market all of which are FDA approved.

These dermal fillers are made from Hyaluronic Acid (HA). HA is a natural substance found in the skin and body which diminishes as part of the aging process, causing dry, loose skin and reduced fullness to the face. The most common areas to treat are cheeks, nose to mouth grooves (naso-labial folds), jowels (oral commissures) and lips.

How does it work?

HA is injected under the skin to instantly restore volume. It is a smooth gel that flows easily into the skin for a natural look and feel. The type of HA fillers will be
determined based on the area and amount of volume required. Results can be seen for 6-18 months.

You may not be happy with the natural size and shape of your lips or the fact that the ageing process has caused them to become thin with a lack of definition. The lip enhancement effects are immediate and results can be seen for between 6-10 months, however lifestyle will play its part, for smokers, the product will not be as long lasting.
